Vacation

We had an escape from reality for a while, spending time with the kids in Orlando for 5 days. It was great. We tired Kennedy out so much at Disney that she slept until 9am most mornings! She rolled over yesterday 11/26/2007 for the first time!!! I don't think she quite knew what to do on her belly!! Kyle is still taking guitar lessons and doing well with them. Leanna has her last soccer game this week and is still in her jazz, tap, and ballet classes!

Its Been a While!

Sorry it has taken me so long to post! I have friends complaining!!!! Things have been crazy and life is nuts! Here are some recent photos!!! Kennedy laughed this week for the first time!!! It was SOOO cute! She is changing so quickly...I can't believe it. I know she is going to grow up way too quick. Sometimes I just hold her and look at her. I don't want to miss a thing. I am so blessed.

Kennedy's First Bath!

Well as you can see she slept through her first bath! She was VERY relaxed! I took a bath almost every night when I was pregnant so I guess she enjoyed it as much as I do! We went to the Doctor on Monday the 27th for her 2 week check up and she weighed 8lbs 8oz, and was 21 inches long! So she is growing FAST and very well! She is still up every 3 hours like clockwork at night...but at least she goes right back to sleep after feeding! Kyle and Leanna enjoy holding her and Leanna loved helping me give her a bath!

She's Here!

Kennedy is here! She was born on 8/8/07, at 8:28 am! She weighed 7lbs, 11oz, and she was 19 inches long! We feel so blessed by such an incredible and healthy baby! I am still healing from the C-Section, I have to remember not to overdo it! But it is really hard to sit still!! Will keep you all updated! These are some pictures I took...I am not the best photographer but I think these are pretty darn good!!! I also posted her first picture!

Kennedy's Nursery

Well the nursery is almost finished! I only have one more wall hanging...my maternity collage which will be ready in a couple of weeks! You will notice the picture of Jackie Kennedy, that is who Kennedy is named after. I always thought she had the most style, grace, and class! My best friend Angela gave me the framed quote too! I just LOVE it and it is perfect on the bookshelf! I go in at 7:20 on Wednesday morning and the surgery will take place at 9:50am! We are really excited! I can't wait to see her and meet her! Dr. says that she will probably be around 7lbs or so! Smaller than Kyle and Leanna, Kyle was 8lbs 8oz, and Leanna was 8lbs 12oz! So we will see if he is right! I am nervous and a little scared! But mostly ready! I just pray that she is healthy, I know God will take care of both of us on Wednesday! Keep us in your prayers!

Baby Shower #3, 36 Weeks

Apologies for the delay! Much going on these days! Getting ready for baby, getting Leanna back to school, and I have been fighting the flu on top of all of this! I know this life is never perfect...nor could I expect it to be... but when I think about my children and how blessed I have been I am so thankful. God is blessing me with this healthy baby after three miscarriages, and I know his plan is perfect even though sometimes it is hard not to question. I am so thankful for the wonderful friends and family that God has put in my life, to support me and pray for me during this time! Everyone has been so great in helping me prepare for Kennedy's arrival. It is hard to believe that she will be here in less than two weeks! I saw the Dr. today and he said she looked great! She even gave him a healthy kick when he was feeling around! I have been finishing the nursery, washing clothes, and getting everything ready for her...I have even started a scrapbook!!! Thanks Courtney for your help! It has been so much fun to work on! I know the kids will love to look through it! Next posting is pictures of the nursery! I promise! These pictures are from the shower that Daune, Jenny and Amy from our connect group at church hosted. We had a great time! I am so thankful for my friends at church...they have blessed my life in more ways than they know!

Baby Shower #2, 33 Weeks

Angela and Shelley hosted a beautiful shower for me on June 30th! It was great! At 33 weeks I am feeling pretty good, I have had a few contractions but the doctor said that is normal and as long as there is no pain not to worry! Kennedy's room is getting closer! I know you are all excited for the unveiling! I am still waiting on a few things for the walls and she is good to go! Only a few more weeks left, and I am ready! It is VERY hot here!!

Vero Beach 2007, 30 Weeks

We had a great time on our yearly Vero Beach family vacation! It was great to spend time with the whole family. They boys chased girls the whole time and made some good friends. Leanna actually made some friends too! She is slowly but surely coming out of her shell! I love this vacation...I don't think I put make up on the entire week, and didn't care either! The baby is growing, and kicking alot! Sometimes so hard it makes me jump! I am still working on her room, I will post pictures when it is finished!!

28 Weeks

This past weekend was Memorial Weekend. We spent the weekend with our friends in Hutchinson Island. Rachel came down on Saturday and took my maternity portraits on the beach...it was a lot of fun and I have never done that before!!! Michael and I were soaked and covered in sand!! But I wanted something different and I think that is what I am going to get! I will be sure to send out the slideshow as soon as she sends it to me. I am really excited to see how they turn out! She got some really cool shots! We are almost done with the room switching! The baby's room will be painted this weekend and her furniture will be here next week! So this whole thing is becoming so real at this point! I am busy with work and that makes the time fly right by! The picture is of me and Jane at the beach!

25 Weeks

This week was very busy! I registered at Babies R Us. http://www.toysrus.com/registry/index.jsp That was fun! Special thanks to Angela Newell for going with me to give me tips on what's hot and what's not! I can't believe how much has changed for babies since Leanna was born 6 years ago! We also celebrated her birthday this week! I have added a picture of Michael per his request...as he was terribly disappointed that he was NOT on the blog yet!!!! Whoops! She is still moving all of the time and wakes me up early some mornings. But I love every minute of it. We bought her nursery furntiure this week also and we are beginning to make changes to the house next week. We have to move some rooms around to make room for her. Our dining room is being sacrificed for our office, and we will move Kyle into the office and Kennedy into Kyle's room. Both rooms are being painted to be ready for them, will post pictures when they are all done and ready! We will break ground on our new house in January, and we are really excited about that! I had the opportunity to spend some time at the beach this weekend with the girls from church, we had our women's retreat and it was really great! Weather couldn't have been more perfect!

23 Weeks!

23 Weeks today! I had a doctors appointment this morning. All is still going well! She did not like the nurse pressing on her with the doppler... she kept kicking it...it was really funny! I can tell she is already stubborn and I have NO clue where she got that from!!! Hee Hee! She is really kicking away now! Michael and Leanna have felt her kick...but Kyle is still waiting! He is never in the right place at the right time!

Dustin and Jim's Colorado Trip

My brother Jim recently took his son Dustin on a trip to Colorado to snowboard! It was Dustin's first time to fly and to see snow! He is 14. Jim took great video and they both did great for their first time snowboarding! Notice the fancy Ipod jackets he purchased! Too bad you can't use those in Florida!

Easter 21 Weeks

Watch Me Grow!!

From the top from the bottom...14 weeks, 16 weeks, 20 weeks. This pregnancy is a very special gift to Michael and I. After going through 3 previous miscarriages we didn't think that it was in God's plan for us to have a child together. We have been very blessed with a healthy pregnancy so far! I started getting sick around 5 weeks and stayed sick until about 15 weeks so that was a challenge! But I am past that now and we are really looking forward to her arrival! In the beginning it was really hard to be excited about this pregnancy....when you tell people that you are pregnant again after 3 miscarriages they reply with oh...or that's good...but no one can really get excited until they know that you are okay! We have had an ultrasound every time we have seen our doctor. He has been wonderful to us! On our 20 week appointment we found out it was a girl! Right after that appointment we started feeling her kick which was really exciting! I am staying active and feel pretty good so far! I am sure the uncomfortable days are to come! It is amazing how much you forget after 6 years! I feel like this is my first pregnancy!! Although I tend to over analyze everything with my previous history! But I just remind myself that God is in control and our Kennedy is in his hands!
